With unrivaled visability and sheer plethora of marine life Sharm is a great first time overseas dive destination, or of course fifteenth time repeat visit. Around Sharm itself there are several National Marine Park areas, that are simply out of this world. The Ras Mohamed National Park is renowned for its awe inspiring vertical cliffs, that descend hundreds of meters below the surface, and its great drift dives and large palagic inhabitants. Contrastingly the four nursery reefs of the Straits of Tiran offer a superb backdrop of coral gardens, with masses of colour and phenomenal amounts and variety of reef fish …

If its metal you’re after then no trip to Sharm would be complete without taking the opportunity to sign up to visit the world famous WWII wreck of the Thistlegorm. This wreck simply has to be seen to be believed, and with its cargo-holds still laden with Motorbikes; Gun Carriages; Jeeps and Locomotives, it can be a surreal experience …

Our accommodation for this trip is the ever popular Rossetta Hotel, located directly adjacent to the Emperor Divers Dive Centre, and also only a few minutes walk from the centre of Naama Bay itself. It has four swimming pools; several restaurants and all rooms are air conditioned, with TV, en-suite and fridge. In the evening (and during the day for the non-divers) Naama Bay itself offers a massive selection of Restaurants; Bars; Shops and pretty much whatever else you are after …

Our local diving partner for this one is Emperor Divers, who will be providing us with our day boat (large and spacious with upper sun / shade deck; dive platform; salon and lounge); dive guides; boat crew and chef; tanks and weights and if you need it also your hire equipment* .
