Red Sea Summer Fun
Once you’ve got your PADI Open Water Diver Certifciation and are raring to discover more, then there is simply only one way to see the Red Sea, and all that it has to offer – Liveaboard. This particular WWR liveaboard trip will take in everything great about the Northern Red Sea, from the best reefs to the most impressive of wrecks the area has to offer.
Although we have always made this summer WWR trip a land based excursion we have finally come to our senses and decided to give our summer guests the same best of the best experience as our more experienced divers. With 5 Star Luxury accommodation and sumptuous dining and, provided in the form of the Contessa Mia Liveaboard and her crew, you really can have it all. No more getting up and rushing through breakfast to catch a mini-bus and no more lugging your gear back and forwards, it’s all right there in one place at your fingertips. This Wrecks and Reefs itinerary will depart from Hurghada, on the Egyptian mainland, and head north into the Red Sea for a week of supreme world class scuba diving. The trip will take you to dive the many wrecks on offer at Abu nu Hass, ranging from historic wooden wine galleons to modern freighters; to try the excellent drift dives around the Giftun Islands, to see some of the worlds best examples of Giant Gorgonian Fan Corals; to complete some great night dive adventures in the sheltered waters around Gubal Island; to the Ras Mohamed National Marine Park, to experience the unique sights of the Yolanda Toilet Wreckage and also of course to visit the world famous WWII Thistlegorm wreck.
Throughout the entire Northern Red Sea the marine life is plentiful with huge shoals of Goatfish; Yellow Fin Tuna; Sweetlips and Jacks never more than an arm’s length away. Other locals, expecting to be the subject of your photo gallery, include Dolphins; Parrot Fish; Blue Spotted Rays; Giant Moray Eels; Stingrays; Puffer Fish; Porcupine Fish and the huge but very friendly Napolean Wrasse.
Our accommodation and dive base for this trip will be the Contessa Mia, a 34m 5 Star Liveaboard, featuring 10 Air Conditioned and En-Suite cabins, Two Saloons, Top Deck Dining Area, Spacious Dive Deck, Sundecks and Shaded Areas for all. Of course this is all enhanced by the addition of our friendly Boat Crew and Experienced Local Dive Guides, all focused on ensuring we have the trip of a lifetime !
