With little more than a few specs of white soft sandy beaches breaking the surface of the crystal clear, warm waters of the Indian Ocean it’s easy to see why the Maldives are one of the worlds most iconic holiday destinations !

The remoteness of the Maldives has made it a target destination for more than just the discerning holiday maker, it also attracts some of the greatest numbers and variety of underwater marine travellers any where in the world. This abundance and variety of marine life is why we have decided to add the Ultimate Maldives into our 2010 WWR schedule.

To get us right out into the heart of the best diving areas we have planned this WWR as a split liveaboard and resort based trip. Our hosts for the two separate elements of the trip are the renowned Monsoon Liveaboard and the beautiful Kuredu resort.

After boarding Monsoon your local dives guides and crew will assist you in preparing for your local check-dive, before heading off for the weeks amazing and spectacular diving. The dives throughout the week will be selected carefully based on weather and water conditions, but always of course planned to give you the greatest dives experience available. Your potential dives sites would include the renowned Dhigali Haa; Nelivariu Thila; Ifuruu Thila; Orimas Thila; Christmas Tree Rock and of course the Kuredu Express.

Now for the best bit – Your Ultimate Maldives WWR trip has been carefully planned to coincide with the Annual conglomeration of the biggest fish in the sea. Yes this is your chance to see the mindblowing Whale Shark, up close an personal; not to mention of course the Mata Rays; Reef Sharks; Hammerheads; and more Reef Fish than you could ever point a stick at.

Our luxury accomodation for the six nights of our liveaboard element is MY Monsoon. Launched in 2007 and measuring in at 36m, Monsoon sets a new standard in Maldives Liveaboards, with accommodation for 22 guests in her comfortable and spacious ensuite and air-conditioned twin berth cabins. Additional features include onboard Air Filling, Trimix and Nitrox blending; Jacuzzi; Spacious Dive Deck; Cocktail Deck and Two Off-Board Tenders to get you right into the best dive-sites for dive-drop offs. You will of course also have two extremely experienced Maldives Dive Guides and Crew with you throughout your Ultimate Maldives liveaboard adventure.

Once we return to land (or rather sand) we have included a total of four resort options on Kuredu for you to choose from, all of which are deisgned to be as flexible as you want giving you the chance to either Chill Out; Relax; or of course Dive as much as you want. You can select two nights or six nights extra, in a Beach Villa or go all out and opt for two or six nights extra in a Water Villa (yep the ones on stilts over the sea !). All of the accomodation is to the highest standards and inlcudes All Inclusive board.

Assuming that you won’t be able to stay out of the water, the Kuredu Dive Centre will be more than happy to help you get in and get wet again, and this extra diving can be booked locally as and when you wish.
