Equipment Specialist

If you’re fed up of having to ask the Divemaster to fix it, sort it or just plain explain it, then why not complete our PADI Equipment Speciality programme and learn how it all works for yourself ? Once invested in your own scuba kit this programme is quite simply invaluable, to make sure you know how to keep it safe; well maintained; and looking good for many years to come. Of course its always nice to know exactly how your kit works too, becasue after all its keeping you alive down there.

The PADI Equipment Speciality programme is a classroom based, non-diving, speciality so its great to slip in when the conditions are looking a little harsh to take a splash. The programme is very much hands on and will give you the chance to take a look inside the scuba equipment we all use (relax, its our kit not yours that we poke around inside), to see how it all works.

The programme is fully practical with no self study requirement, and will cover the differences between regulator, bcd and cylinder valve mechanisms; equipment maintenance; emergency / temporary repairs; and good practises for equipment transport and storage. With a big stash of ex-hire and ex-demo kit to play with you realy will have the chance to get hands-on with this programme.

On satisfactory completion you will be awarded the PADI Equipment Speciality certification.
