Discover Scuba Diving

Our PADI Discover Scuba or Try Dive is your ideal opportunity to take your very first dip into the underwater world, and discover just how addictive the superb feelings of weightlessness can be. Our PADI Discover Scuba session is a simple 1 to 1 ½ hour introduction to everything to do with Scuba Diving, in a safe and controlled pool based environment, with all of the specialist equipment provided.

Your session will typically involve you (and maybe your buddy) and one or two of our Dive Masters or Instructors. You will be fully briefed on the equipment you will be using during your Try Dive, covering everything from Mask, Snorkel and Fins to BCD, Regulator and Scuba Cylinder. Once completed and briefed on the sessions in-water activities, it will be time to slip into the water and begin the fun.

After entering the shallow water your Training Team will assist you in donning your equipment, ideally with you wearing an old t-shirt or wetsuit to protect your shoulders from any rubbing, and then its down we go. Once fully scuba’d up you will begin to slowly move from Standing, to Kneeling, to Lying and then after the team can see you are fully comfortable, you will be swimming as free as a fish with them throughout the remainder of your PADI Discover Scuba experience. If that sounds like fun, then wait until we teach you how to play underwater Frisbee, or toypedo !

There are very few restrictions to who can complete our PADI Discover Scuba Experience / Try Dive, so as long as you are over 10 years old and are relatively healthy then there should be no problems. We currently offer this programme at all of our Pool Venues, including Cannock; Stoke on Trent and Birmingham.
