A cold February morning in 2002 saw me packing my bags and heading off to the Red Sea to learn to scuba dive … over seven years later and here I am, a PADI Master Instructor !!!

Over the years I’ve experienced many fantastic dives but have yet to decide on a favourite because how do you choose between diving with sharks in the Maldives, exploring a huge sunken ferry in the Mediteranean or getting slimed in a Florida swamp (amongst others) ? The list of places I want to dive gets longer each year !!

Deep wrecks, shallow reefs, cold water, warm water I enjoy it all but the most enjoyable part of diving as an instructor has got to be seeing the big smile on a students face when you shake their hand underwater after they complete their final skill and qualify as a diver …
