Never one to sit and mope on a rainy day, Dave, our Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Centre manager, decided that Friday was the day to put a smile back on everyone’s face in the Stoke on Trent area.

Ably assisted by one of his local Stoke Scuba Divers, Bec Edwards, he set about 'Singing In The Rain' in an attempt to sing the endless rain we seem to be having into submission. The cheerful pair set about their sub aqua mission by donning full Scuba Gear and heading off into the middle of Newcastle town centre.

With scuba cylinders; BCD’s; Regulators; Mask and Fins firmly in place the happy duo made their way merrily down the High Street. To the great amusement of all the shoppers, and in particular the early revellers in the local pubs, they skipped and serenaded away the afternoon.

It goes without saying of course that they attracted more than a little attention, in the main along the same lines of “where’s noah” and “ooooh its not really forecast that bad is it”. They also of course did get more than their fair share of Learn To Dive enquiries, so keep your eyes peeled – there could be some more Singing Scuba Divers coming to a town near you soon !
