As
we all know the
RNLI Lifeboat Institution is funded totally by charity
donations and although we may all hope to never need their help,
should we ever find ourselves in that situation then the sight of an
RNLI Lifeboat would be a very welcome one. With this in mind
we have always had collection points in our stores, and at the Dive
Show this year we were please to be able to hand these over on the
RNLI Lifeboat stand. With Adrian Hawkins, from our Cannock Store
being the most photogenic on a Sunday morning he was tasked with the
photo call.
The RNLI Lifeboat Institution continues to rely on voluntary
contributions and legacies for income, and without these it would
not be able to offer such a valuable service. In the last year alone
the courageous RNLI Lifeboat crews saved, on average, 22 lives per
day. In the first half of 2007 alone, they have launched over 3000
times, saving a further 124 lives and rescuing an additional 2838
lives. With all of the good work they do, and maybe with the thought
that one day you may well be grateful of their help yourself, we are
happy that with your great support we have been able to support the
RNLI Lifeboat Institution. If you would like to find out more about
