Team SCUBApursuits – Half Marathon

Ok, now imagine the scene … Chariots of Fire style background, Rocky on the steps, Linford in his shorts (no not that bit of him, the running) and then imagine US ! Yes the Team SCUBApursuits athletes, the most highly tuned and toned scuba diving athletes in the world, ready to take on the rigors of the Lichfield Half Marathon in 2012 …

Hmmmm, well ok maybe there was a slight hint of sarcasm / out right wishful thinking in there somewhere … That said the Team SCUBApursuits concept is live and we’re rounding up the runners as we speak …

We’re looking to enter a team of 21 into the Lichfield Half Marathon in May 2012, with a view to pushing at least £1000 towards the RNLI and Air Ambulance Charities … We’ve got the first few names down on the team list from the hyper fit Olympic Athletes we like to call the Training Team, but we still have some places left if you fancy joing in the challenge …

Its bound to be a great laugh, and all we are asking is that every runner rounds up a minimum of £50 sponsorship through the Just Giving Website, at the very least this sees us tip over the grand … Its then just a case of getting those running legs in shape, slimming down a stone or five and then going for it (well, there may be a bit more involved I guess – like training I suppose !) …
