Diver Awards – Newcomer Of The Year

As the full details of this years Diver Awards results hit the streets I’m sure it will be no surprise to many that the Diver Awards – Newcomer of the Year award has indeed gone to our newest Scuba + Outdoor division Dive Pursuits

With mammoth efforts to re-create; re-launch and re-establish a full online retail outlet the Dive Pursuits team have most definitely earned their title. After two, less than successful, stabs at cracking the online scuba market over the last five years, the decision was made to bring the whole project in house. With Phil Grigg recruited as Dive Pursuits manager and developer a whole new life was breathed into the division. As the new site was developed, a whole new image was created and a much improved marketing plan conceived. Then after all this hard work, Dive Pursuits was re-launched in early 2007, and the effect was immediate with orders rolling in straight away.

The feedback too was immediate, and with its clean looks and easy to use layout it was obvious that Dive Pursuits was more than just a popular hit, it was rapidly becoming one of the UK’s most popular online scuba equipment stores. With such great feedback coming in, the decision was made to ‘test the water’ by throwing our hat into the ring for this years Diver Magazine Diver Awards. So after all the hard work and effort from Phil and the rest of the team was now done, all we could do was sit back and wait for the results.

Now of course, the Diver Awards results are in, and the hard work and aching eyeballs were most defiantly worth it. The Dive Pursuits team have earned themselves the coveted Diver Awards – Newcomer of the Year Award. Well done guys, a big congratulations from the rest of the team !
