The Valentines Dip
The
whole
Valentines Day
thing can be a bit of a drag if you’re single, with not a bar or
restaurant to be found that’s not full of Star Crossed Lovers. So
this year why not look for your own
Soul Mate underwater love style, and join in with the
Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Centre –
Valentines Dip.
As Albert and Shirley will testify, scuba diving can be a great way
to meet your Soul Mate, fall in love and more importantly stay in
love. In fact it must be in the bubbles, because after meeting at
their local scuba diving club, many years ago, Albert and Shirley
have been scuba diving and blowing bubbles together ever since.
With this great example to go by and our
waterproof Cupids Bow at the ready, Tom at our
Solihull Store is inviting any
local singletons out there to the
Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Centre – Valentines Dip
on Thursday 14th February.
You will get the chance to go Scuba Diving for
FREE, as you complete your
PADI Discover Scuba Dive, and maybe just maybe you might get
to meet and blow bubbles with your Soul Mate – or should that be
Sole (excuse the pun) Mate ! |

Goodness Gracious Me - Quiz n Curry
If
you're feeling the winter chills and you're bank account is looking
a little depleted then our Doing It Stoke Scuba Club has the answer
for you, with their Quiz n Curry night. The Stoke Scuba Club will be
hosting this great evening at the Masons Arms in Knutton on Saturday
9th February at 8pm. The event will see plenty of Yummy Curry and
Head Scratching Questions for all, with Cash prizes for the Winning
Teams. Its all for fun, and the teams will be picked at random on
the evening, just to keep it fair of course (well that and no one
wants to be on Dave's team - He he !). With various rounds of
questions on all manner of subjects, not just scuba diving, it's
bound to be a great evening for all so its a members and non-members
event.
If you
would like more details on the Doing It Stoke Scuba Club event then
give
Dave a call
at the Stoke shop, or
simply drop in your £6.00 to the store and get your place secured.
In the meantime - Get Revising !!! |

The
Scuba + Outdoor Dive Club Christmas Ball
Oh
boy Oh boy, do we all scrub up well ! The
Ramada Hotel,
Cannock
was the venue for this years Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits “Doing It
Dive Club”
Christmas Party. This year however was not like any year previous,
there was not a Batman; Shrek or Supergirl outfit in sight, in fact
the optional Black Tie approach was by all but a few taken as
gospel.

Singing the rain
into
submission
Never one to sit and mope on a rainy day, or even many rainy days as
we seem to be having at the moment! Dave, our
Scuba +
Outdoor Pursuits Centre manager, decided that Friday was the day to
put a smile back on everyone’s face in the
Stoke on Trent
area and attempt to sing the rain into
