Lights,
Camera......Action ! - Scuba Pursuits as seen on TV.
If there was ever
one thing that we didn’t need to do … It was swell Marks head even
more than normal, by giving him his own personal TV slot. Of course,
that’s just what they did, at the 'Go Outdoors Ordnance Survey Show'
back in March at the NEC in Birmingham.

As the Director organised the Camera Man; and the Presenter put the
finishing touches to her make up; Mark was doing what all good
budding stars do. He was dashing around trying to scrounge a nice
shiny new wetsuit to wear in the pool …. So a big thanks to Peter
Prince at Aqualung UK, who couldn’t bear to see a grown man cry, any
longer!
The “Life Channel” is a
private TV / broadcasting company, who specialise in producing life
style features for private TV networks. At the Go Outdoors Ordnance
Survey Show they were looking to put together a broadcast for the
nicer end of the UK dentist and doctor market, and the subject
“Scuba Diving and its accessibility to all !”.
To ensure the best
possible impression was made, the scene was carefully set, and Mark
bobbed under water waiting for his cue to surface … The surfacing
line (so he assures us) referred to him as “good looking”, but we
only heard the “sea-monster” quote. Several questions later and he
was beaming like a demented gold-fish.
So there you go, next
time you’re in your posh dentists surgery and you hear those dulcet
“Brummy” tones, don’t look up it could be us !! |
