The Caribbean Party

The latest event in the Scuba + Outdoor calendar had a decidedly exotic feel, with grass skirts, day glow shirts and coconuts the order of the day. For many it brought back memories of the Scuba + Outdoor diving trips to exotic locations.  All that was missing was the dive boat and the Caribbean climate ..... click here to read more.

The Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Busses & Technical Diver Training Is Back

In 2004 the Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits centre busses were out on the road, with an even more striking design. The mobile 'fish tanks' were sure to brighten up even the most dull early morning commute. The 2 busses could be seen around the Cannock, Walsall Solihull & Birmingham areas

So watch out for the Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits busses on your travels.

Beer & Skittles Evening

It started out as a normal Saturday night.... some friends, a few beers  and a well mannered game of skittles…..BUT then….Yes as per usual the competitive spirit took over.

The teams were formed and after much debating over who was going first we decided to stick with a traditional format of “A” before “B”. The scores soon racked up, of course Mark (HQ Office) being the gracious host (or not!) slammed down the pins and ranked up the first strike of the night.

Unfortunately Jim’s shins were also part of the strike and although he swore it was nothing personal they time and again seemed to suffer a battering from Marks balls (No pun intended !!)

The evening progressed and games drew to a close, leaving only prize giving to complete. Ang (HQ Office) was our overall winner, pocketing the cash and stomaching the sweeties, while Beany won not only the wooded spoon but also the “Coconut up the bum” …. Ok only joking….. it wouldn’t fit !!

Chillington Divers Visit Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits

Chillington Divers, the Codsall branch of the British Sub Aqua Club recently accepted an invitation to attend an informal evening after hours at our Cannock branch. Ade Hawkins (Manager) delivered a Q&A seminar covering a comprehensive run-through of Regs, Stab Jackets, Torches and Dive Computers.

Some three hours later, this informative evening had covered everything from Micro-Bubble suppression to 'burn-times' on HID torches!

Complementary Tea, Coffee, cake and beer helped the information go down and the 'Prize Draw' of a Scuba & Outdoor dive bag worth £100 topped off a great event!

If you would like to arrange a similar evening for your club or school please get in touch.
