Let us be the first to wish you a Happy New Year ! Yes ok maybe we're a little bit early, well ok quite a lot early by eight months or so, but its always the Early Worm that Catches the Bird (?!?).

Well in this case its more like the very Early Worm that gets to jump on a plane head off to warmer climes and spend this New Years Eve in the warm and sunny surroundings of the Egyptian Red Sea, with a really great bunch of like minded divers, Doing It club members and best of all our resident Cannock venue Instructor - Shane.

Ok so here's the question - What would you rather be doing this New Years Eve ?

a) Would you rather than hang around here in the UK with some big ideas for a great New Years Eve event, that will doubtless result in nipping around your neighbours to watch Jools Holland bang out some new-wave version of Old Langsyne, whilst you huddle around an assortment of Sainsburys best nibbles, watching Big Ben strike out the 12 tones ?

b) How about enjoying a really great days diving in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea around Sharm el Sheikh, grabbing some rays on the front sun-deck in the afternoon, then having a few relaxing beers in the sun back at the dive centre in the afternoon with your dive guides, before then heading off out to your top notch luxury New Years Eve Gala Dinner at the Hilton restaurant ?

So assuming you opted for "b" and having a really great New Years Eve in the sun, rather than the drak grey let down it normally is here in the UK, here's the finer details:-

We will be staying at the Hilton Sharm Dreams Hotel, on a B&B basis, ensuring we have the best possible facilities to hand throughout our stay. The facilities include a total of seven swimming pools (one is even heated for our post New Year chill out day); several bars; restaurants; volley ball and use of the private Hilton Beach at the sister Hilton Hotel directly opposite the Dreams complex.

In location terms it doesn't get any better, as the Hilton Dreams hotel is only a five minute walk from the Emperor Divers dive centre, and only a ten minute walk from the very centre of Naama Bay itself. The stay does also of course also include our luxury New Years Eve Gala Dinner and party, so its glad rags on for that evening (does a Dinner Jacket really go with Bermuda Shorts ?)

We will be diving with our old friends at Emperor Divers, and of course with their many years of experience they will make sure we get to visit all the best sites the Sharm area has to offer. We will certainly be visiting the stunning corals and plethora of marine life out at the Straits of Tiran; take a trip out to the awe inspiring sheer vertical walls at the Ras Mohamed National Park; and time permitting we may even get the chance to visit the world famous SS Thistlegorm Wreck.

All this within a week - Wow that's gonna have to be some big postcard to fit it all on !
