As every single diver in the world will agree, the underwater world is absolutely amazing, and quite often beyond explanation. The sights and sounds that we see and experience as we drift slowly through our sub-surface adventure unite us all.

There is only one way to explain and share our discoveries, and that is through the images that we bring back with us. It is this power of imagery, through the media of underwater photography that we want to celebrate.

With this in mind, the Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Group have launched eyeMAGINE 2008, a showcase to celebrate the best of these amazing sights and images. So whether you’ve pretty much perfected the art, are well on your way, or have just managed to capture a few lucky shots, then here’s your chance to share your images with the world.

This year long competition, launched in October 2007, has been sponsored by the UK’s leading manufacturers, and has a total prize fund in excess of £2000. The prize list includes the Aqua-Lung Mistral Twin Hose Regulator; Mares Dragon Air Trim BCD; Buddy Tek Wing and Fuji F50 Camera Package.

So in 2008 you will have the chance to not only share your images with the world, but also to compete with it, and with categories including International; UK and Quirky-Fun there is no limit to who can enter, and WIN !!
