Doing It Pools 2011
It goes without saying that the Apre-Dive is almost as important as the dive, so come on down to the Doing It Pool Venues and ‘get social’. The three Doing It Scuba Club Pool Venues are an ideal place to brush up on your skills, bump into some new (or for that matter old) buddies and generally chew the fat on everything scuba related.
Doing It Pool Venues - Weekly Fun (Exc Bank Holidays)
The Doing It Pool Sessions take place in all three of our Scuba Store Areas of Cannock, Stoke and Solihull, giving everyone a chance to dive into a local pool to practise and perfect their scuba skills. The pool sessions are all managed by an S+O Pool Manager (generally you rlocal S+O Store Manager), so if its your first visit after completing your training there’s loads of help on offer.
Once you qualify as a scuba diver, whether with ourselves or another organisation or club, then its only the start. Like driving a car the learning continues as soon as you start to go it alone so we always recommend that every dover should head straight back to the pool as soon as they can after qualifying, to get some extra practise and confidence building under their belt.
We obviously work hard to ensure there is as much hire kit available as possible for the pool sessions, although we are always busy at these venues so we advise you to book as early as possible to avoid dissapointment. There are fees associated with the Doing It Pool Session events and these are, Pool Fee £2 (Under 12′s at £1), Pool Fee with Cylinder Hire £5, and Pool Fee with Full Scuba Kit £10. Pool and Equipment Fees are always payable on the night in cash to the S+O Pool Manager and should be settled before entering the water. To make it as easy as possible we will bring all Hire Equipment to the Pool Session for you.
We have no strict plans for the Doing It Pool sessions so its totally up to you. You will find there are divers practising skills, trying smb’s, playing on scooters, snorkeling or maybe even just having a swim (again family members more than welcome).

Cannock Pool Session
Sunday Evening 5.30pm – 7pm / Rugeley Leisure Centre, Rugeley, WS15 2HZ
Stoke Pool Session
Wednesday Evening 8.00pm – 9.30pm / Chesterton Swimming Pool, Stoke on Trent, ST5 7LP
Solihull / Birmingham Pool Session
Thursday Evening 8.30pm – 10pm / Stechford Cascades Leisure Centre, Birmingham, B33 8QN
If you have all of your own equipmwnt then we don’t even need to know you are coming along, just turn up and sign in with the S+O Pool Manager, but if you need any amount of Hire Kit then please ensure you call your local S+O Centre to book it and let us know you are coming along.
So Come On … Don’t Waste Your Skills (or wait for you next holiday) … Use Them !
Important:- As with all Doing It Diving Activities you MUST sign into the Operational Log for the event, agreeing Doing It Club Terms and confirming qualification levels, prior to comencing on any event. With this in mind you MUST always have your Certification Cards with you at all events (Inc Pools).
