Yaba Daba Doo ! Well how else can you start to talk about our superb Christmas Cartoon Caper, aka The Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Christmas Party for 2006.

Our usual haunt played host to the daftness and frivolity for the evening, with a great DJ and Buffet laid on as normal. The theme (in case you hadn’t guessed) was Cartoons, and I think we all surpassed ourselves this time, so a massive thanks to everyone for their efforts.

A special congratulations goes out to “Mrs Monkey” for her winning costume, a really great Evil Edna (a great use for an Aqua-Lung delivery box). Other notable outfits included a superb team effort on Shrek and Fiona; a rather warm Tweetie Pie; stylish Lady Cleopatra; a bedraggled Lion; two Biker Mice from Mars and more Fred and Wilmas than you could throw a stick (or rather bone) at.

We all of course fell in for our trade mark dances, Macarana and Timewarp, well we couldn’t really refuse with Mark and Steve playing “Butlins” reps and rounding us all up. Admittedly I think the conga through the downstairs restaurant; bar and chippy across the road wasn't the best idea, but hey well done to all the newbies for joining in (you’ll learn one day – never follow Mark !).

So that was it for another year, and of course onwards and upwards to 2007, well after the heads cleared up in the morning anyway !
