Mark Turner

Way back in the day (well about 1996) to be exact I was teaching 6 days a week for S+O (or Cannock Scuba as it was then), before I took on the epic challenge of building us a retail division. It wasn’t easy and I learned many lessons along the way (Mostly from John), but in 1999 managed to open our second store in Newcastle (Staffs); in 2000 moved our Cannock store into its big warehouse store; and in 2002 opened our third store in Solihull. Although all this managed to all but kill my regular UK diving, in recent times by far the best dive trip I’ve taken was leading one of our WWR trips out to Manado, Indonesia. The diving highlight was taking Maya down over a vertical drop off to look for her first sea turtle, only to be confronted with three massive Leatherbacks simply hanging around waiting to see their first Maya !
