The
BSAC Big Reds Bash
in Anglesey was the biggest of the
BSAC Expeditions
in 2006, with over 100 divers turning up to “dive with a purpose”.
With it being such a great event, we had no issues at all in
offering up one of our top of the range CX500 Made to Measure
Drysuits, as a the main prize for the “Big
Reds Bash Raffle”.
Steve Pearson, the
BSAC Big Reds Bash
expedition leader, had designed the event to
involve several hundred divers, diving simultaneously on wrecks off
the coast of Anglesey (Wales) carrying out a marine survey of the
wrecks in conjunction with the Marine Conservation Society and the
Nautical Archaeological Society. All of the divers involved came
from around the BSAC North West Regional Area, and consisting of
Cox; Dive Marshall and several pairs of Divers.
At
the evening social event, in the Big Reds Bash HQ, our CX500 Drysuit
was raffled away, to raise funds for the weekends charity. It was
Nick Simon, from East Mac Sac that walked away with the loot. Well
not quite walked away with it, as it was made to measure, so he had
a little wait for his new toy.
So why only now has this article hit the site, well its simple, Nick
has now been using his suit in anger for sometime and this is what
he had to say (to quote) “If
you're interested in a constructive criticism of the suit, let me
know. It won't take long as it's nearly perfect !”. |
